Maths Day 2019 was celebrated on Thursday the 31st January and had a focus on Measures. Due to the P7 current World Around Us topic of “The Victorians” we decided to have a go at baking a staple Victorian food- Bread!
We used a soda bread recipe from Paul Hollywood and had to consider lots of different variables. We measured using scales and we were able to follow his instructions without any teacher help! We also had a go at converting metric units to the more common Victorian unit of Imperial measures. This was quite tricky but we found out that many people have conversion charts today to help them!
