Updates For School After Easter

Dear parents/ carers,

And just like that we have reached the holidays! This last term has definitely been different – thank you for sticking with us over 10 weeks of remote learning. I am very thankful that school has reopened to all pupils, and it has been lovely to welcome everyone back. Before signing off for 2 weeks, I want to draw your attention to a few things:

We will be continuing with staggered drop off and pick up times for the remainder of the school year. The school day will be extended for P4-P7 pupils for the summer term. Please note the new timings below.

P1           9am – 2pm (Mon – Fri)

P2           8:50am – 1:50pm (Mon – Fri)

P3           9am – 2pm (Mon – Fri)

P4           8:50am – 2:50pm (Mon- Wed) and 8:50am – 1:50pm (Thurs – Fri)

P5           9am – 3pm (Mon – Thurs) and 9am – 2pm (Fri)

P6/7       8:50am - 2:50pm (Mon – Thurs) and 8:50am – 1:50pm (Fri)

P7           9am – 3pm (Mon – Thurs) and 9am – 2pm (Fri)

Primary 1 and Primary 2 children will now be collected by their teachers at the main gate in the mornings. Should you be running late, your child should now be left at the gate and they can walk down to class. We would ask that you do try to be punctual, so that your child walks down with the rest of their class. The class teachers will bring the children to the main gate at home time.

P3 and P4 children will now enter school via the main gate, and follow the path to their door. (They have been practising this so will keep you right!!!) They will then be collected from the main gate at home time.

Please continue to wear a mask when coming to school. Only come at the correct drop off, or pick up time, and please do not hang around at the gates once children have entered school. It is our aim to keep our local community Covid free.

School will reopen on Monday 12th April. We are still waiting to hear from the Department of Education regarding breakfast club and extended schools.  When I get word in about this, I will be in touch.
